A Rollercoaster Journey

Yohan spent 13 years training to be a Taekwondo competitor professionally. He won 2 national competitions and was awarded a scholarship to Sangmyung University for it. He left to join OUi aganecy. Talent-scouted by OUi agency to be an actor, the 19-year-old Yohan recorded his 1st audition singing and dancing with Heelys at his 1st week with OUi agency. That became the audition reel to Produce X 101 Kpop idol reality competition.

As a 3-month trainee, it was admirable that he came in 1st (the journey was challenging but he overcame the obstacles) and became the center of a boy group called X1. Later, he became the center for WEi. He is also an actor who won 2 KBS awards for School 2021 Kdrama. His first acting gig as a lead was the Korean adaptation of A Love So Beautiful and he was loved by many viewers despite he had not acting training. Many who loved his acting didn't realize he had no acting training and that he was a K-pop idol.
